Many of the cougar women out there today, didn’t necessarily start off liking younger men. In fact, in many cases, these women might have been just the opposite when they were younger and less experienced.
From a woman’s point of view, it’s very flattering to be pursued and liked by an older man when your a teen-ager and even as a young adult. But usually a bad experience or an experience that just wasn’t all that it was made out to be, usually shifts women thoughts of dating younger men later in their life.
For instance, a women that might like younger men today, may have:
1. married at a young age and missed out of experiencing different sexual partners.
2. may have gotten pregnant at an early age and like point one, didn’t experience life to its fullest.
3. may have been abused either mentally or physically by the man in her life (usually an older man).
4. bored of the lifestyle that they had married to a traditional husband.
5. abused to the point where a woman may have become so strong minded out of necessity that they now desire to be the dominant partner in a relationship either because she is now used to being that part or because she doesn’t want to suffer the pain that she had when she wasn’t as dominant in her relationships.
Each of these examples has been true for me and now that I’m in my 40′s and have raised my kids, I prefer a younger man. I also believe woman tend to be more youthful than men, as they are constantly trying to look younger and soon take on a mindset of a younger person.
And to a certain degree, dating a younger man may make a woman feel younger and more youthful. I can atest that although my ex-husband was a decent lover, he didn’t pay much attention to me as we stayed married. The younger men that I date now, are almost always more attentitive to me and for the most part, are also more attentive lovers.
This in itself makes me feel more appreciated, and more happier than when I was married to an older man.
Of course since I am older, more established and more experienced in life, many of the things that attracted me to older men at a younger age, I now posses as an older woman. Hence, I do not look for those characteristics now since I am well established and financially stable with or without a man in my life.
Once I remove those reasons, the only reason left is for me to date younger men 
as it works like the best anti-aging creams… they make me look and feel younger and isn’t that what all women want!
