It wasn’t always true you saw this in previous years, and the previous trend was usually for younger women to date older men. However, today, you see older women dating younger men all the time. Women live longer than men, in general

 Because on average, women live eight years longer than men, a woman dating a younger man in fact is a pretty beneficial setup for both parties. When two people of the same age or when a younger woman and older man hook up, the chances are pretty good that the man is going to be gone before the woman is.

So although people don’t like to think about this in the throes of new romance, it’s certainly a good consideration for long-term commitment. She’s insecure about her body, her career is just getting started and she’s not established there yet, and just in general is in that “insecure” stage most of us go through as we’re growing up.

However, older women have all “been there, done that.” They’ve got the bodies they’ve got and they’re usually pretty happy with them, often very much so. That confidence makes them sexy, and that often makes them better lovers, too.
