The Story Of An Older Woman Dating Younger Men

I had been married to a successful older man for 11 years and had three children that came out of that marrige. I literally gave everything of myself to my family, all while holding down a career professional executive for a large financial firm. I had always thought about my best friend, who at the time was divorced and how an older woman could date younger men.

Outside I would be disgusted  with her as she pranced around and dated these younger guys. This is the story of an older woman dating younger men, that I am writing about, and what led me to be that older woman dating younger men.

We’ll just call her, Franny, as that is pretty close to what her real name is (sorry Franny) anyways. She was my next door neighbor. We had been living in our house about 5-6 years before Franny and her husband moved in next door. Her husband was a successful lawyer and Franny didn’t have to work a traditional job.

She had raised their kids, but they were already in high school when she had moved next door. About the same age as the three children (teenagers) I had.

There were times when I didn’t go to work and Franny would come over and talk with me. She was an absolute blast to be around and she was a lot more daring than I was at the time. I was basically did everything “status quo” and didn’t want to mess up what I had worked hard to get, is what I thought.

In my opinion, I thought Franny was a bit reckless on how she carried on the way she did.

In a way, I felt sorry for her, because her husband would always be gone on business trips, corporate events that were only for the “firm”. He would also stay out late, and sometimes did not come home till the next morning. How Franny could live like that, I had no idea, I thought.

There were times when she came over and basically cried the whole time she was over my house. She would complain that her husband never wanted to do anything with her, take her to places and basically didn’t want her around. But because her husband built up a very successful business, he didn’t want to go through a divorce because he was afraid that Franny would take more than he wanted her to take.

I didn’t understand why her husband didn’t want to be around Franny, because she was really fun to be around. Never a dull moment with her, not to mention that she was a very beautiful woman. I mean she had guys hitting on her everytime we would go somewhere. There would not be a single time that we went somewhere that I didn’t hear catcalls from men, receive the latest pickup lines, or some guy trying to just talk to her.

I mean she was drop dead gorgeous, but she blew them all off, like they were nothing. Apparently she had been used to this treatment since she was a teenager, but I could tell she was unhappy with her life.

One day, I went home early. I was stressed about work, and I wanted to leave and just come home and take a nice long bath to wash away the day. When I got home, I saw Franny heading over to my door as I got out of the car. She looked like she had been crying and looked pretty upset about something.

She ask me if I would go with her just to get out of the house because she felt couped up. I told her that I could only be gone for 4 or 5 hours as I needed to make dinner for the kids later. She told me that 5 hours of plenty enough.

She had explained to me that her and her husband had a big fight over the telephone and that he was going away for 2 weeks on business without her. Franny believed that he had been having an affair, and was upset that he didn’t want to bring her on the trip.

We went to have a couple of drinks at a bar just to get her mind off of the events that she was going through. As we ordered our drinks, she had started to tell me about the arguement that she had with her husband, and how he was really being a jerk to her.

Franny had said that she was going to give her husband a little taste of his own medicine and was no longer just going to sit and wait for him.

Frankly I was shocked and asked what she was going to do? She bluntly told me that the next guy who would ask her out and gave her any sort of attention, she was going to go for it.

Before she could say another word, I told Fran to really think about what she was going to do. I really was thinking that she was acting irrationally.

She had ask me what would I do if I were in her position? Stand by her husband and accept what he was doing or take matter’s in your own hands and turn the tables around a bit?

I had to admit, that I wouldn’t know I would react if that had happened to me, but in my mind, I surely wouldn’t have reacted like Fran had I thought.

It was in that instance, a younger man approached Fran, and ask if he could join us for a drink? He was very handsome and was obviouly confident in himself to approach us in the manner that he did.

I told him that I was married when he asked, and mentioned that I wasn’t interested in going with him and some friends over to his house for a party that night.

Franny, of course, jumped in and said that we would be there. I was upset that Fran had included me without my permission and that I was heading home to start dinner for my family.

Fran had pleaded with her to go with her later to this guy’s house and said it would be fun, but I told Fran that I wasn’t in the same boat as she was and that I was happily married to my husband.

(to be continued on the next article in a week or so..stay tuned as it get’s pretty interesting!)
