An older woman may feel better physically when she is around a younger man because of the energy he has. In her mind, when she is with him, she is young as well and doesn’t have a care in the world.

Furthermore, younger men have a lot more respect for older women. Men want a woman who is accomplished and sure of herself. By the time a woman is in her 40s, she usually has it all figured out. She is settled in her career, has a little bit of money in the bank, her own place, nice car, and most of all, she feels confident and it shows. Younger women are not like this which is why you are more likely to see older women dating younger men. Most of the time, they are unsure of themselves, confused about where they are going in life, and seem as if they do not have a clue as to what is going on around them.

An older woman and a younger man can give the other just what they each are looking for. A woman needs appreciation and respect, which is something that is not easily given from a guy the same age or older. She needs to feel beautiful and like she is the most amazing creature on the planet. There may be something lively, free, and wild a younger man can give that an older one can’t. As men grow older, they become more set in their ways; a lot of women do not like that.

The bossiness, stubbornness, and possessiveness of an older man are enough to turn a woman the same age off. It seems the older a woman gets, the more carefree she becomes. It is like she has finally found herself. Women dating younger men is not something that is likely to end soon. It is a natural choice and personal preference.

As I’ve wrote many times here on my blog, women dating younger men is no “one-time” event. In fact I believe that this trend is becoming much more popular as we see in our society. Will that trend fade? Possibly later, but here are some facts.

1. our population has more baby-boomers (people within the ages of 45-65) than any other age group.

2. divorce rates are sky high meaning that many of these boomers already are divorced and looking for  newer relationships.

3. women dating younger men just fits as many women feel they have lost the zest for life, and being with a younger man adds it back into their life.

4. baby-boomer women are more financially secure, more comfortable with their sexuality and with their careers that they no longer need this type of “fulfilment” from men.

5. mature women in their 40′s, 50′s and 60′s don’t look their age as technology, healthy eating and living has become more prevelant and acceptable in our society.

So, as you can see, the new era for women dating younger men is not something that is going to disappear because some think its taboo. This new era is going to be around for many years ahead. Even by doing so our children who are in their 20′s and 30′s will more or less learn from their mothers and society that women dating younger men is nothing to be ashamed of or any out of the ordinary. In fact it has become a choice of destination if you will, for many older more mature women who had their lives put on hold for the good of their husbands careers, raising children and doing everything else for their families.

Now that doesn’t mean all women have faced these challenges or been through the situations that I just mentioned. But there is enough women who are exactly in this situation or just getting out of that situation who now feel that it’s time to take care of themselves now that their motherly obligations may have come to and end.

I read and saw this on the news lately where a a former baseball player named Jose Canseco, bashed Madonna for dating younger men.

In specific, Madonna who was thought to have divorced her ex-husband to go out with Alex Rodriguez, has actually started dating a young model by the name of Jesus Luz, who is nearly 30 years her junior.

But who cares? If that is what Madonna wants, than by all means why not do it while she can. Who is this Canseco guy to tell her she can’t. I am sick and tired of hearing examples like this of this so-called "double standard" that men are the only ones that can go out with hot younger models. I say bull-shavings! Maybe it has something to do that Canseco used to go out with the Material Girl at one time, who by the way was younger than Canseco.

And then to hear what a ridiculous comment that Canseco said about how Madonna, "when she is 80 years old, is going to date 10 year old boys". What a total a-hole if you know what I mean.

All I can say is "get a life" loser! If men can date younger women, than older mature women can and should date younger men…period. That just the way it is buddy. Get over yourself and get used to the fact that women dating younger men is here to stay.
