any issue or root cause of attraction in couples like this can also be found in couples of exactly the same age. i wouldn’t read too much into this stuff.
Its creepy. In New Zealand (where I live) there are lots of old men who date asian women that are way younger than them.
I know one couple that have lasted 15 years and have a 12 year age gap. I think the woman was looking for a father figure as her father left home when she was little. Their relationship was rocky though and the woman cheated with a man her age once her husband got a little too old.
They’re divorced now.
Im a woman but i speak from personal experience
1) younger women tend to take a lot of effort. They can get any guy thier age and so to keep her the older guy needs to have his crap together. I dont think older men are father figures at all they are just more stable and actually less needy and controling than younger men
2) who cares what other men think if your happy?
3) I know a couple who had a fifteen year diffrence and they have the most functional marriage

First of all I want to compliment your Beautiful name!! I love your name, its so “Original & Very Unique!!” I have 2-3 couples that I can think of really quick here: Carry Grant and Dianne Cannon.. both Actors, and very much in love for many years until he died.. They even had atleast a daughter that I have seen on TV with her Mother who looks just like Carry Grant….Gorgeous Eyes, dark features she has, and Dianne was blonde with either dark, or blue eyes, I can’t remember her colored eyes but they made a Gorgeous daughter! Then, there’s “Gene Simmons and his Model Playboy Centerfold Happily Never Married with two kids, and he’s about 20-30 years older than she is.. Dog the Bounty Hunter is 20-30 years older than Beth… Duanne Chapman is his name….. They are all very happy!! Drew Barrymore’s Mom & Dad were like 40-50 years age difference before they finally devorced in the 80s.. Then, he died a very old man!! Her mother is only in her 50s, or so and Drew’s father was old enough to be her Great Grandfather!!! But, Drew just adored her father!! The same thing with The Brady Bunch’s Christopher Knight……He’s my age 3-4 years older than myself, and he married that cute little model who did the “Reality Series” together “The Lady and The Brady” or something like that…..with Oh I cannnot think of her name for the life of me, but she’s atleast 25-27 years younger than he is.. Adrian, is her name!! There are so many more than any of us realize!! Look at Tom Cruize and Katie Holmes.. Tom’s my age again, and she’s only in her 20s, early 20s too!! And Tom’s in his late 40s!! So, there’s another almost 30 year difference.. Then you have the female version with Demi Moore and her young hubby after Bruce Willis……Elizabeth Taylor had a happy marriage with a gentleman who was 1/2 her age.. So, their out there!!! I love hearing about things being on the up & up, and it really being about LOVE!! And not for the money part of things like with Anna Nicole and her old decrepid husband. We all know it was to get her out of poverty, but then again she was an exotic dancer when he met her and they make pretty good darn money!! My daughter bought herself a brand new mercedez benz with her Exotic dancing money plus paid for her Real Estate’s Schooling with the money…….Now she sells very expensive houses and gets some really good kick downs for doing so!! She does rather well since she’s given up the dancing!!! As far as the marriages go, there are so many more, I was going to type up but forgot. I have short-term memory loss, from being hit by a truck as a pedestrian.This question deserves a STAR!! Smile!!!
5-10 years younger is not a new concept. Facts state that women mature sooner than men; so, men & womon seem to follow having younger bride than the groom. This is especially more factual during the 20s throughout 30s age groups.
Larger age differences need more forethought on both parties regarding their older years, children, etc… A 20 year or so difference has always been questioned especially by close relatives on both sides. “She is waiting for him to die & leave her financially stable” “He is going through his 2nd childhood & enjoys someone pretty on his arm”. I married a man 20 years my senior; we discussed issues as if we were going into a busines than a marriage. We had the most fantastic relationship – - until his daughter stepped into the picture several years later & threatened Dad would never, ever see her or her boys again unless he divorced me. Although he did not believe her, he did not want to take any chances – - the split was made. Neither one of us was that happy again – - he is now gone from lung cancer & I still miss him.
